Week 3 of the NRL Finals is only one day away. Four more teams will take to the field for a chance to advance through to the NRL Grand Finals, starting with the Gold Coast Titans and the Sydney Roosters in a highly anticipated Friday night matchup.
The Titans are hoping to make it to their first Grand Final since the team’s inception four years ago. Without a doubt, this team has plenty of motivation behind them. They’re also going into this one on a week’s rest and with the home grounds advantage. It’s a squad that features Scott Prince, Mat Rogers, and the recently returned Preston Campbell and you’ve got a team that is certainly capable of a Premiership title.
The Roosters also have plenty of motivation going into this match as they are hoping to pull off a major turn around after last year’s Wooden Spoon. While they don’t have the advantage of a week’s worth of rest, they have been pulling off some pretty fantastic upsets. Plus, Todd Carney, Mitchell Pearce, and Anthony Minichiello are a trio of NRL talents to be reckoned with. They will be out winger Phil Graham.
Expect a close one between these two teams. The game kicks off on Friday, September 24 at Suncorp Stadium. Ladbrokes.com.au is offering the following odds:
|Gold Coast Titans||1.75||1.92 (-2.0)||2.10 (-4.0)||3.20||3.65|
|Sydney Roosters||2.12||1.92 (+2.0)||2.10||3.45||4.75|
The unstoppable St George Dragons are going to be taking on the Wests Tigers on Saturday in a game that plenty are expecting finish in favour of the Dragons. Though before you run out to put all your money on the St George team, there is a little history to consider. Anyone remember the 2005 Prelim Finals between these two teams? The Dragons went into that one as heavy favourites after a week of rest, but the Tigers took the win.
While it is a possibility the Dragons will crumble under the pressure, plenty of experts are predicting a win for the St George team this time around. They’re under the leadership of one of the best coaches in the league and are sporting a full squad of healthy players. A win seems eminent, but they can’t underestimate the Tigers. The Wests team is known for pulling off last minute wins, and are coming into this one with plenty of good momentum.
It’ll be another close one. Don’t forget to get to Ladbrokes.com.au to check out all of the odds on the upcoming week 3 action. The top online sportsbook is currently offering the following for the Saturday battle to be held at ANZ Stadium:
